Golden Gate Speranza Lodge has been a part of San Francisco since the California Gold Rush, chartered under the Grand Lodge of California in 1853. Our members live throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and come from all walks of life.

Freemasonry is the world's first and largest fraternal organization. It is a brotherhood of like-minded men who genuinely care about each other. We develop lifelong friendships with fellow Masons and their families, and are welcomed at Masonic lodges throughout the United States and the world.

While every Masonic lodge shares the same core mission of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth, each lodge also has its own personality and its own focus.
Our lodge emphasizes Masonic Education, where we present on, discuss and contemplate philosophy, culture, history and symbolism on our journey to become better men -- for the sake of our countries, our neighbors, our families, and ourselves.
The brethren of Golden Gate Speranza Lodge gather together weekly to enjoy a meal with close friends and to continue their lifelong pursuit of knowledge and self-improvement.
